PhD and Postdoc Positions in Computational Mechanics / Engineering Materials / Additive Manufacturing at University Florida

Strongly motivated applicants are invited to apply for a fully funded Ph.D. student position available starting Summer or Fall 2024, and a postdoc position available immediately, both within the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management, College of Design, Construction and Planning, University of Florida.

Our research focuses on the study of both natural and engineered materials, with the goal of advancing civil infrastructure and energy systems, and addressing climate challenges.

Ideal candidates are interested in or possess expertise in Computational Mechanics, as well as in Multiscale and Multiphysics simulations. Backgrounds in STEM disciplines (such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Petroleum, Mathematics, Computer Science) are preferred.

(2). Innovative Concrete Material

The ideal candidate should be interested in or possess specialized knowledge in concrete materials, whether through simulations or experimental work.

(3). Additive Manufacturing

University of Florida is a top 5 public research university in the United States.
